Student Life
London living comes with many perks. Access to some of the world’s most sought-after theatre, film, art, entertainment, and dining is just the beginning. And of course, there’s the London campus of the Raindance Film School! Located in buzzing Trafalgar Square, moments away from Soho, we are able to provide students with quick access to the best industry events and venues.
The world is your oyster once you step outside the school doors, as you have access to all that London has to offer for film enthusiasts on any budget. In the past, students have also enjoyed travel outside of London for industry events like the Cannes Film Festival. It’s not every day you can tell your mates you rubbed elbows with Sylvester Stallone in France (true story)!
Local campus life
Students have access to common areas and classrooms to meet and share ideas outside of class, socially distanced and/or online, in accordance with current UK government guidelines for COVID safety.
As the UK transitions out of COVID-19 restrictions, group activities and campus developments will resume once it is safe to do so.
School facilities
The school is split up into three adaptable studios for filming and acting exercises.
Studio 1 provides ample space for scene blocking, individual, pair, and group scenes. It also has an industry-standard black curtain running the circumference of the room, ideal for practising lighting and shooting techniques.
Studio 2 is similarly set up for group work. The matte black paint on the walls is ideal for immersive screening and lighting experiences.
Studio 3 / Digital Lab is where the magic happens when it comes to learning and practising video editing and post techniques. All computers come with the latest Adobe and industry standard software.
